Interview: LISA Talks About Her Memes And Trainees | Youth With You S3 | 青春有你3 | iQiyi
Hi, Sina Entertainment. Hi, LISA. You know, last year, because of the pandemic, you only came to China twice for recording, I would like to ask you, during this period of time, is there anything in particular you miss about China? I miss China so much. I want to come to China,
And I miss Chinese food. I ate a lot of food back in China and they’re delicious. Can you just name one or two Chinese foods you miss the most? Just one. Hot pot. OK. Last year, you were crying so hard on finals night. I wonder what the trigger is. I felt so much.
Because they went through the competition together. I was rooting for the trainees, too. But in the end, I was happy for those trainees who could make it, in the meantime, I felt sorry for those who couldn’t. So it’s a lot to take in. There were all kinds of emotions involved. Would you,
On the other hand, relate that to your own debut? Because you’ve worked hard to have a chance like that and now you’re a member of a famous girl group. Yes. Because I had the same experience so I knew exactly how they feel. It’s a feeling inside of me. We’ve been watching
BLACKPINK’s variety shows. Then I saw other members of the group often mimic you. Who would like to do that the most? Almost every member mimics me. Like Rose Jisoo. They all mimic me. I think Rose is the one who mimics me the most. Is there an expression or an action
That Rose likes to mimic? Do you think she’s good? She didn’t mimic my pose. She mimicked my phrase. I once said that don’t sorry to me, be sorry to your friends. You don’t have to be sorry to me. You have to be sorry to your friends.
Actually, they didn’t mimic my actions or my expressions. They like to mimic me when I’m pointing out trainees’ mistakes during the show. When they say sorry, like oh, I’m sorry, she’s gonna be like, oh, don’t sorry to me, be sorry to your friends. Something like that. Will you persuade them
To learn to dance YES OK? I didn’t teach them. But while filming in China, I learned that part of the dance, and I immediately sent it to my group members. Show it to them. I felt proud that I could do this kind of dance.
Because they don’t normally do this kind of cute dance, so I was trying to show it off. To tell them that I can do this kind of dance. I can handle it. Could you tell me what makes you come back to Youth With You Season 3, and did other group members encourage you
To become the mentor for the second time? This season is still very exciting, just like last season. This season I also want to tell these trainees what I know or what I have learned to help them succeed. Of course my members encouraged me. Because this time of filming is very difficult.
So my group members told me that I can do this. I can do it. You performed Lover on the first PD & Mentors Show. And your Lover was a big hit and people loved it. Could you tell me why you chose this song for your PD & Mentors Show?
I had a lot of time to think about how to do the best and perfect performance? Because this season is about boys, I’m a girl and I’m the mentor, so what song should I choose? I also thought that even if I was a girl, I could change different types of songs,
Or perform a boy group’s song. So I chose KUN’s song, a member of last season, for my PD & Mentors Show. In this way, it could also be related to last season. When I saw KUN’s performance, I already liked this song. That’s way I chose KUN’s song. How do you feel about
The mentors of this season on the show? They’re new friends from this season, not these old friends. At first, I was afraid to say anything. I was afraid to joke around with other mentors. But after two or three co-operation and recording, I felt comfortable chatting with them. I wouldn’t mind that much anymore. We talk like friends. Although it was difficult to communicate, the interpreter was there to help.
So it’s kind of fun. We’re closer. You have given good performance on the show. So more and more Chinese friends like you. A lot of friends around me now have your picture as their wallpaper. Because we like you so much. We would like to know what your wallpaper is. I’m so glad.
I’m so happy about it. You love me and I’m very happy. You have me as your wallpaper which means you like me a lot. I’m glad I can be an inspiration to them. I also thank them for their love. My wallpaper is Leo. My first cat. My wallpaper is a cat.
A picture of it. Its avatar. When you’re giving comments, you may not notice but you made some facial expressions and your Chinese fans made them into memes. Have you watched them? Like this. I don’t know. What? Really? Don’t talk. Just like the meme, right? Surprise. -May I ask you -Oh, I see.
Do you know your expressions are turned into memes by Chinese fans? I just heard about it. I’m a person who likes herself a lot. If I have a meme of me or a fun picture of me, I would use it. I would send it to my mom when I’m chatting with her.
Could you tell us one of your own memes that you’ve been using recently? The one says thank you. And…oh, I just did it again. And the one with the hand gesture on the head saying I’m angry. You know, the cute angry face. I use them when I’m sending messages.
Like when I’m sending messages to my mom. Youth With You Season 3 has already finished its second performance. I wonder who your most memorable contestants are so far. Jun Liu, Liang Sen. Last time on the show, I said he’s like a dancing Ikkyū. You were impressed by his bald head, right? Yes.
Also, did you really show the members the video of ProducePandas’ Kill This Love? You said that on the show. Actually, the members came to me and asked for it. It’s just pictures in the beginning. When the pictures were out, my group members asked me if they’re a group. I said it was.
They dance BLACKPINK’s songs. When the video came out, I would send to them. They asked me when the pictures were out. Then what did they say about that group? When they saw the pictures, they’re worried that whether the group could do it. Could they do this kind of dance? Because of their size,
My group members were worried about it. And they’re also curious to see how they present the dance. After they saw the dance, seeing they bring joy to the stage and people were laughing while watching, my group members were happy. I think they’re pretty serious. The whole group is serious. They are great.
I can feel that they love performing and the stage. The last question. In this season, people find that you can pronounce the trainees’ Chinese names more and more fluently. So, did you learn Chinese words in private? Are you learning them? I’m trying to learn. When my schedule is not busy,
I would try to learn. I read some Chinese words during break. Besides “thank you” “goodbye” these simple words, could you share with us some words that you think you’ve mastered the best? The latest word I learned was “practice” in Chinese. You should practice more. Do you have anything
To say to the fans who miss you in China? And I miss you all so much. And I’d love to see you all. But since the outbreak isn’t going well, so I can’t. If things get better, I’ll be sure to come and see you in person.
I also hope you guys can follow Youth With You season 3 and root for the trainees. All right, thanks. Well, that’s it for today. Thank you, LISA. I want to say that all your Chinese fans really like you. OK, don’t forget to watch Youth With You season 3. Love you. Bye-bye.
